Calling all Women Superstars of STEM Eager to Smash Gender Stereotypes
Dear STA members,
I am very excited to invite your members to apply to become an inaugural participant in Superstars of STEM, our new program launched today to support Australian women of STEM and inspire girls to pursue a career in science, technology, engineering or mathematics.
We’ll work with 30 of the nation’s brightest scientists and technologists to create role models for young women and girls, and work towards equal representation in the media of women and men in STEM.
We'll equip the Superstars with advanced communication skills and provide them with the opportunities to use them - in the media, on the stage, and in speaking with decision-makers.
The program will also connect participants through a mentoring network, to encourage them to learn from women who have crafted a profile for themselves and who already serve as role models.
To help us promote the opportunity to your members and beyond, you can access a promotional pack by clicking below. You will also find images to assist you in marketing Superstars of STEM through your social media channels and newsletters here.
Any and all assistance in spreading the word would be greatly appreciated!
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
